Development Opportunities
There are ample opportunities for development and UC Merced has created a local process and supporting resources (links, references, Individual Development Plan and Professional Development checklists) for our campus community to identify, participate and grow from this wealth of opportunities.
UC Merced has a local policy and checklist for submitting development leave requests. In accord with University of California – Policy PPSM-50 – the following criteria must be met, submitted, reviewed and approved for all development activities and/or leaves.
What is Your First Step?
An employee must meet the following requirements to be eligible for Professional Development activities:
- Completion of the probationary period (link)
- Satisfactory or better job performance rating (link)
- Review the checklist requirements for development activities (link)
- Review, share and discuss with your supervisor
