What is Professional Development?

While the traditional avenues may be the common path, let’s explore all
the activities that could fall within your development planning. Contrary
to popular belief, professional development is not just taking a class or
attending a conference. Though it’s likely that your first thought since that
is the way many of us have found ourselves gaining new skills, refining
existing skills, or taking our talents and developing them into strengths.
However, there are a plethora of options for our development -
whether personal, performance or professional – whatever the
development area or need.
